Xbox 360 suicides on news of HD DVD burial

Today, you've probably heard of HD DVD's official burial being finally unveiled.

Well, it turns out that my Xbox 360 Elite (bought in May, 2007 - one of the first Elites, in fact), was so heartbroken at this news, that trying to play the HD DVD of "Blade Runner" proved just too much for it:

Joy to the world. HD DVD: April 2006-February 2008, My Xbox 360 Elite March 2007-February 2008. Now I just have to wait for Microsoft's US repair place to open up so I can have them fix the mess.

That's a shame that your 360 is broken. My friends launch 360 broke last month, he probably couldnt get it replaced as he painted his. Can your US 360 be replaced in the UK or will you have to ship to America.

My launch machine died in October. I waited until December, and bought a Falcon Elite.

It's far cooler, and fair bit less noisy.

It's a shame that the 360 was so badly designed inside. It's a great machine, when it works.

( I sent my broken machine back for repair, and gave it to me brother )

That's pretty damn tragic, and what impeccable timing. That's damn near poetic. Your Xbox 360 was one of a kind, an Xbox with a heart. I dread the day that mine dies, it's like playing a game of Russian Roulette using those things.
