A very special gift

If you just came here from an RSS feed and only got to see the headline, then you might be thinking, "I know what the very special gift is. It's LOVE". Well, you would be wrong, the special gift is in fact signed pieces of character art from one of animation's most kick-ass people. If you'd dragged 10-year-old me away from my Ren & Stimpy Show VHS tapes and told me I'd one day own something like this, I would probably have peed myself in delight.

How amazingly deranged!

And then there's this: tits and John Kricfalusi on one page. John certainly understands the needs of a growing boy.

Fuck yes.

Envious.

Cool, is this to do with the feedback you gave on the Ren and Stimpy DVDs. How did that story go again, did you work on the DVDs?

I didn't work on the DVDs, but at the time there was talk of an "Ultimate" set which would have everything, entirely uncut. I decided to paint out the timecode purely for the challenge of it, and also because somebody told me that it would be impossible (HA!)

The "Ultimate" set never happened, though, so the footage lies on the shelf. Paramount didn't bother to use it when they later released the UK version.
