When I first heard about this short being DVNR'ed, I pulled out the disc to take a look. At first I didn't see anything, but the problems soon rear their ugly head.

I'm amazed this was allowed to slip through.

Yup! Our digital computer friend thinks that the swinging rope is in fact, a big hair or piece of dirt trapped on the film. In this example, the DVNR has made the rope look as if it is BEHIND the mist in the background. Notice how the system takes information from surrounding areas.

The gorilla without a face:

The paint on the characters is being replaced with the paint on the background this time. This is unusual. It sort of looks like the ink and paint department have been slacking, but we know who the real culprit is.
